The CBS News Election and Survey Unit is seeking a Unit Coordinator to manage and perform administrative duties and assist with the Unit’s polling work. The Election and Survey Unit produces the CBS News Poll and is integral to CBS News’ election coverage.
The position is part time, 22.5 hours per week.
Administrative job responsibilities include managing the unit payroll, processing bills and tracking expenses for the unit, including expense reports, processing new hires, ordering office supplies, answering phones and maintaining important filing systems and records.
The coordinator will have some involvement in compiling and checking supporting materials for the CBS News Poll, and compiling background materials prior to elections.
The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, is comfortable with numbers and has an interest in polling and political news. Facility with Word and Excel is required.
Hours are 10am-3pm five days a week.
