DESCRIPTION:

Givewith is seeking an experienced Head of Technology to grow and lead our engineering organization from the ground up. You will own the vision for developing Givewith’s industry-changing global SaaS platform, while collaborating with senior leadership on ongoing strategic technical decisions. You have demonstrated success building and guiding an engineering organization to achievement of company objectives, and are dedicated to people management and high performance. You will partner with us to bring on the team that will be responsible for establishing our engineering organization culture as we grow. You are entrepreneurial, mission driven, and incredibly passionate about making the world a better place through innovation. You excel at rallying a team around shared objectives, executing consistently and effectively on company goals. As our VP of Technology, you will report into our COO and collaborate closely with our product, strategy, sales, and operations leadership team members.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the vision for Givewith’s technical roadmap, leading our technology agenda to enable the business’s growth and success

  • Build and lead a highly talented, motivated team of engineers towards a high impact mission

  • Craft team and operating model objectives, including metrics for success, that will be required to fulfill performance objectives successfully

  • Develop a culture of innovation that stimulates the creation of new, market validated business opportunities; support growth and margin goals through innovation

  • Evaluate and assess technology trends that impact the business; guide the company on strategic investments in technology

  • Be the inward and outward facing advocate representing technology and innovation

  • Handle the security of our infrastructure and applications; communicate our posture to our customers, and to the broader public

  • Ensure that GTM and nonprofit operations function without interruption; drive automation across the sales and operational funnel

  • Create a modern, integrated infrastructure that effectively supports collaboration across teams and geographies

QUALIFICATIONS:

* * 10+ years of engineering experience within high-growth, fast-paced technology companies; 3+ years in a VP or equivalent leadership position

  • Demonstrated expertise in people leadership, engineering team expansion efforts, hiring/developing/managing technical talent, and cultivating organizational culture

  • Extensive expertise in application development and technology architecture, specifically in Python, Java, AWS (EC2, S3, SQS), and Ansible.

  • A user-centric empathetic mentality, and dedication to quality and security

  • Passion for social good and mission-driven leadership
