DESCRIPTION:

The video production intern will have the opportunity to learn the planning and production of all video related content with GameSpot Universe, GameSpot's entertainment channel for everything TV, Movies and Comics. The intern will be responsible for assisting producers to get b-roll for movies, TV shows and comics, creating YouTube thumbnails using Adobe Photoshop, and with producing and editing video features. We would love to have an intern that is passionate about film and television, knows how to shoot/edit and use adobe creative suite at a basic level and a good knowledge base about the entertainment industry.

Logistics:

  • Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team

  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Report to Manager of Production and other producers to assist with editing & shooting video for various projects

  • Experience with studio production

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Creating YouTube thumbnails using Adobe Photoshop

  • Editing footage into deliverable content before delivery deadlines

  • Syncing footage and sound

  • Sound mixing, titles, and color correction

  • Encoding and uploading finished pieces to our Content Management System (CMS) for review and distribution

Additional Requirements:

  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

  • Must be at least 18 years old
