DESCRIPTION:

This position is for a file clerk providing administrative and clerical support to the legal department at CBS Television Studios and reporting to the Manager, Legal Files.

Specific duties include the following:

  • detailing and indexing file contents, logging files and contents into computer indices, and retrieving and re-shelving files;

  • Assisting in the preparation, time-date scheduling, and shipping of documents to various locations within the company and secondary storage sites;

  • Retrieving and tracking legal documents;

  • Answering questions and providing data regarding legal files to employees of CBS Television Studios and other CBS divisions;

  • Assist Legal Clearance as requested by facilitating execution of clearance release agreements.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: This successful applicant will be detail oriented and a self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills and will enjoy being a team member. Proficiency with Word and other Microsoft Office programs, familiarity with legal documents, and the ability to lift/carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds is required.

Preferred: College degree and the television industry are pluses.
