v Primary responsibilities are processing payroll and A/P payments for pilots and series in pre-production, alternative development projects, construction and transportation for warehouse employees. Additional responsibilities are allocating Publicity charges to their respective shows and maintaining a quarterly Publicity expense report.
Additional responsibilities for pilots and series in pre-production include maintaining the master series and pilot workbook in coordination with Finance Executive and working with the CBS/EP liaison to know when a new pilot or series has been picked to order software and payroll set up.
Responsibilities for processing A/P payments for pilots and series in pre-production include cutting deposit checks for the productions, processing payments for VISA applications for foreign talent, distributing PO’s to the writers staff, reconciling petty cash of the writers assistants.
Handling all alternative programing development payments (payroll and accounts payable) reporting to the Director of Production Finance Development.
Review and allocate the publicity charges to their respective show including payroll charges of the publicists (processed through another department) as well as funding and reconciling the Cashet card accounts.
Responsibilities will then include transferring all costs that were paid in pre-production to the respective show, either via a journal or a payroll transfer at EP.
Additional responsibilities include assisting the FE’s, post accountants (when time permits)
Upon confirmation of new pilot or series, responsibilities include setting up the Travel card accounts, Cashet accounts and coordinating payments for the office
Responsible for maintaining the vendor studio numbers in Vista for the new shows, including new vendor look up in the Corporate system, scanning the require documents to Corporate, research and make corrections as needed.
Provide back up for billing and guild audits
Assistant Accountant and/or Payroll Accountant or related position for a studio/network or production company (ie: post accountant with payroll knowledge).
Must have an understanding of union and guild agreements, including an understanding of fringes.
Must be proficient in VISTA and excel and other accounting related systems.
Able to multi-task and prioritize multiple demands.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
